The Brooks EIB-186P Photoelectric Smoke Alarm is specifically designed as an early detection and warning device. Used correctly, it should provide occupants valuable time to escape from fire.

This smoke alarm is particularly responsive to smouldering fires and the dense smoke given off by foam filled furnishings or overheated PVC wiring. The Brooks Photoelectric Smoke Alarm is designed to be installed in partnership with an external power source, primarily a security control panel such as one of Bosch’s Solution Series Intrusion Panels.

  • Test Button: Simulates the effect of smoke and checks electronics and horn/hush button.

  • Power-on Indicators: Continuous green LED on mouning base for panel power. Red LED flashed every 40 seconds indicating self test.
  • Alarm Output: Piezo horn 85dB (A) @ 3m.
  • Standby Temp: 0oC - 40oC.
  • Humidity: 10-90% relative humidity.
  • Battery Back-up: 9V Alkaline battery will power the unit in standby for over 12 months without external power.
  • Mounting Plate: Tamper resistant catch for easy installation, service and maintenance. Surface mount base also available.
  • Dimensions: 145mm (dia) x 60mm (h).
